Jira is not designed for Product Managers and serves their needs poorly
Jira is the most widely used issue tracker in the world, with roughly 4 out of 10 development teams using it. While it is in many senses an excellent tool for the delivery side of things, it's not designed for Product Managers and serves their needs poorly.
Bruce's main pain point was the sheer amount of time wasted articulating user stories, copying and pasting them into Jira, when time could be much better spent on value-adding activities.

Capturing information in a single document with a 2-way sync to Jira
In Delibr, Bruce and his team are able to outline their epics and user stories in bulleted documents. This allows them to move fast, capture all the relevant information on a single page - which can be shared with internal and external stakeholders for feedback - and sent through to Jira via the integration.

Spending significantly less time in Jira
For Bruce and his immediate product team, the result has been that he's now spending significantly less time writing, creating, and updating user epics and user stories in Jira. He estimates that Delibr allows him to work 2-3 times faster than working directly in Jira, saving hours each sprint for him alone.
Clarity for the team and non-technical stakeholders
For the company as a whole, the adoption of Delibr has resulted in more clarity when it comes to what the product team is working on. Non-technical stakeholders, that previously couldn't consume product documentation because they either lacked access to or simply couldn't find their way around in Jira, now have easy access to the Delibr documents where they can find all the information they need.
Efficient onboarding of new team members
As ParentPlaybook keeps adding new team members, so has onboarding risen up as an important area. The ability to create custom templates in Delibr, coupled with Bruce's background as an agile coach, has come in very handy for this purpose. He's successfully been able to use Delibr as a tool for implementing sound product practices to new team members.
